ROMAN BLINDS

HAND SEWN AND MADE TO MEASURE

Roman Blinds are finished with Hand Stitching to ensure the perfect tension to each stitch and therefore longevity by allow the fabric to move over time. Roman blinds can be made with the option of a stacked or cascade heading style and if you have shaped windows it is also possible to make a top pleat to fit.

Pelmets

For Roman blinds sitting outside the window recess you may want to hide the headrail. The most popular options is the integrated return, shown here, which extends the fabric back to the wall but as part the top pleat (sometimes known as an integrated pelmet), instead of using a removable piece.

You can also choose to add a separate pelmet, either of a standard 7cm size, or a full size made to measure pelmet in any shape or size. Both types of pelmet can be made with borders, trims and tassels to match any designs you might have on the blind itself.

SOME EXAMPLES PREVIOUS PROJECTS...

Linings

Our standard lining is 100% cotton of the highest thread count available.  Using a high quality lining not only ensures the blind has longevity by properly protecting the top fabric, it also gives the blind a good weight and structure to the pleats.  Our blackout linings are soft to the touch and come as standard of with a bonded thermal layer.

Don't forget that the linings don't have to be solely functional, it can also be a fabric! We offer a range of ticking stripe lining fabrics (inc blackout) or we can we make your blind with matching or completely different fabric on the reverse.

Cutting fabric with scissors

Borders, Tassels
& Trims

Where Roman blinds are more than 1 width of fabric across you might want to cover the seam by adding a decorative trim running from top to bottom on each side.

Adding trims, tassels or fabric borders is be a fantastic way to make them completely bespoke to your interior.

Tassels at the bottom of the blind can be a lovely addition, and lots of fun in children's bedrooms!
